I've had crafting lust for quite now. I finally decided to invest in some new craft supplies to make some cute things. As previously mentioned, I'm thinking about putting some up on Etsy next year when I can get a PayPal. I'm mainly going to be selling them at festivals and things because there's so much competition online, plus the shipping cost, but I'll still have some things in my shop now and then, too. :)
I'm pretty much just experimenting with different crafts right now, so I bought a whole bunch of consumable supplies, like colourful felt and pretty paper. I won't be showing those, but here are the long-term things I picked up at the local Michael's. You just can't let me into craft stores with money. They have SO many pretty things that inspire me. But I have to be picky with what I buy for a number of reasons. To cut down on impulse buys, I made a list of the crafts I planned to make and what I need for them.
On my list of things that I actually needed was a hot glue gun. I picked up this mini, which works great! It was only $5 and I had a 50% off coupon, so I got this little beauty for only $2.50! I picked up some mini glue sticks for it, too, and it works great- just as well as the big ones.
I also got two hole punches. I thought of some cute, easy crafts I can make with them.
To start: I cut out some heart shaped confetti out of the fancy paper and put them in some adorable little jars. Little jars of love! :) I'm hoping to sell them to people at festivals to make people happy and make a little extra money. I'm going to be making a lot of them.
Here are some of the different colours I have in their little jars!
It's a pain in the butt to cut them all out, though |
I can use them for photography, too, which is great! :D Here is one of my photographs that I uploaded to dA. This shows about how much confetti is in each jar.
Look out for some more posts about some other crafts that I've done. If you're interested in buying anyting, or commissioning a craft to be custom made and sold to you, please contact me. Until next time! Stay imaginative, mon amies.
