Photoshoot session in New Hampsire: What I brought & brought back

Hi everybody! :) Welcome to my second What I Brought & Brought Back blog post!

Usually I pack lightly, but since this trip was primarily a business trip/planned photoshoot session, I had to pack a lot heavier because I was bringing wardrobe for planned shoots. The good news is that I was able to combine "regular" wardrobe with photoshoot clothing and use some dual purpose. I also purposely planned some outfits to re-use individual pieces. The bad news is we fell behind schedule and weren't able to do some of the photoshoots we originally planned. As a result, some of the pieces I brought that we planned to use didn't make it out of the suitcase, and others only got used once or twice. All in all, we got over 1,600 photos to go through and they're awesome!

I was still able to fit everything I brought into my backpack (my carry-on bag), and my camera stuff in my camera bag (my personal item). I clipped the roundie towel on the backpack, making it too large to fit in the overhead carry-on bin, but I was able to unclip it and just carry it as a travel pillow/blanket when I got onto the plane. :) I appreciated it too, having a pillow really helped me rest a bit on flight.

Sorry for the subpart picture, it was a quick Intagram snapshot in the airport.

Anyway, here's what I brought! :) Items with an asterisk*  indicate things we didn't get to use, and items with blue font are mermaid items.

Shampoo/conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste were already up at the condo so I didn't have to bring any. Oh, and she let me borrow a FinFun monofin so I didn't have to bring one of mine. :) I also brought a decently large black leather purse and a boxed deck of cards that I left there for Lindsay and her friend Emma. The space this made in my bag when I removed it made room to store the stuff I ordered. I ordered some wardrobe pieces to use for planned photoshoots and it was easier to have them shipped directly to Lindsay to make sure they were there on time. Here's what I ordered and brought back:

  • Blue/black wig for Dory cosplay
  • Yellow crop top for Dory cosplay
  • Siren teeth (custom fitted for my mouth and terryfing)
  • Claw rings (because my real talons broke a few days before the trip! D: )
  • Ring to review (had it shipped to her because it was an Amazon Prime add-on item)

Of course, I also brought back a ton of photos on my flashdrive! Those don't take up much space in my suitcase, however. ;) Well, that's about it! Just wanted to share. There will be another blog post about what we actually did on the trip soon, and photos will be uploaded shortly! Thanks for reading. :)

Love,
Queen Werandra
